Men

Trousers

A good pair of sturdy, durable jeans is a must-have in men's fashion for every season.

Measure your waist first, pulling the tape measure slightly tight. Your thumb should fit between your waistband and the trousers.

The crotch should lie flat against your back without being too tight. The same applies to the seat.

The leg opening should be between 17 and 19 cm, or 20 cm for a slim fit.

Shirt

At the shoulders, the shirt cuff should reach the hem without leaving any creases.

At the sleeves, with the arm relaxed and hanging down, the shirt cuff should reach 2 cm above the base of the thumb. The cuff should extend approximately 1 cm beyond the jacket cuff.

Allow 2 cm on each side at the bottom of the armpits to avoid constricting the body and to allow for easy arm movement.

The length will depend on whether you tuck it in or wear it untucked. In the latter case, the hem should reach 15 cm below the waistband.

Polo shirt

Choosing a polo shirt plays a role in an outfit.

The regular cut, straight from the shoulders to the body, is elegant for most men and slims the silhouette of those with a larger waist.

The slim fit suits a smaller waist and accentuates the shoulders and waistline.

T-shirt

White pairs well with jeans, black with a more edgy look.

The V-neck adds a touch of sexiness, but it's less flattering on larger sizes as it elongates the neck.

Worn alone or with a sweater, a thermal t-shirt regulates body temperature.

It should cover the waist and extend above the hips. The seam should cover the shoulders. Raise your arm to check if the sleeve rides up.
